Jesus disciples preached door to door and as the bible says we should follow in Jesus footsteps i believe that the bible does therefore request door to door preaching.
Thats just my view on the matter though why what do you think??
a few years ago, infact quite a few years ago, i was working in fs with a particularly arrogant jw, name of mr spong.. there had been a case of a young boy of about 9 years old who had been sexually assaulted and murdered by a pedophile/homosexual man and this was in all the national press.
bro.
spong's presentation was on the bible and if it was relevant in todays world.

I myself am not currently one of JW but i have a very good understanding of their beliefs backed up by 18yrs of studying their religion
Although i myself do not fully understand Homosexuality, probably because i am hetrosexual, i do support peoples freedom of choice and therefore homosexual peoples rights and so does the bible. It teaches us that god made us with free will and your right it does condem homosexuality but it is up to you what you believe and what you do. I was not right for that person to impress his extremist and ridiculous opinions on another person.
And as regards the allegation of homeosexual people being child molestors - Ignorant and Misguided

though i was never baptized, i was raised in the silly religion... my parents started their study in early 1974 (at least i got 1birthday &1 christmas, not that i remember...) mom was baptized in less than a year after she started her study... it took my father about 7-8 more years to give up smoking, but he still made all the meetings & ruled with a leather belt.. i also have a younger sister that has faded (she got baptized).
Ok Mike, ill be frank. I was once a practicing JW but i have subsequently fallen away. I think its a little harsh to say that the religion is 'silly'. I agree that some things thst go on i dont agree with but never the less i think that they are good people. At least they are trying to do things right. The only advice i can give you is that you should let your sis make the decision for herself as to what she wants to do with JW. I know i did and i think for me personally its was the right choice to leave but that doesnt mean that it is the right choice for everyone. Hope this is helpful. Shane

I think you are all being a bit harsh. Although i am not a current JW i am still in touch with a lot of people who are JW and they are good people. At least they believe in something and are trying to live their lives with certain morals. When i look at all the religions out there i have to say they are by no means the weirdest and i think they deserve a bit of respect. The bible does say to go and preach gods word door to door and at the moment they are one of the only religions doing this and i believe that takes guts, belive me i know. Shane
